RAGEher Queer – Chicago – June 14, 2025

Welcome to RAGEher Queer

RAGEher Queer is a sacred, embodied space for Queer, trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive beings shaped by the experience of womanhood—to move, feel, and reclaim what the world has tried to erase.

It’s a space to scream, sob, and shake with others who get it.
For queer femmes, women, and fluid folks who refuse to disappear.

At RAGEher we are deeply aware that the lived realities of our Queer sisters, siblings, and kin are not the same.

While we all carry fire in our bones, the world has not met us all with the same safety or dignity. Queer, trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive beings shaped by womanhood often face compounded erasure, violence, and exclusion—even in spaces meant for healing.

In a time where our communities are under relentless attack, where joy is legislated, identities are politicized, and survival is an act of resistance—we knew this moment demanded something more.

RAGEher Queer was born out of this knowing. Not as a side space. Not as a gesture of inclusion. But as an intentional container: forged for Queer kin, by Queer kin—to release, reclaim, and remember in the company of those who see and hold each other fully.

What to expect at RAGEher Queer:

RAGEher Queer offers the same trusted and beloved format as RAGEher—with intentional shifts made to honor the unique lived experiences of queer participants.

You can expect the same powerful arc of emotional release, movement, ritual, and community care that RAGEher is known for. What’s different is the intentional curation of this space:

  • Community questions are adapted to reflect queer realities.
  • Facilitators guide from lived queer experience.
  • Music selections may include queer anthems and sounds that speak directly to our stories.
  • Dialogue and connection are shaped by the understanding that our rage has been forged in identity, resistance, and resilience.

This is still RAGEher—but with queer hearts at the center.

How does RAGEher Queer hold complexity and ensure this space remains centered on queer folks?

We know that identities are layered, and that people show up with different lived experiences, intentions, and ways of being in the room. That’s why we name from the beginning: this is a queer-centered space. That means:

  • Queer people come first. Their needs, voices, and experiences take priority.
  • Facilitators represent the Queer-identity and are trained to navigate power and identity dynamics. If cis allies are unintentionally taking up space, we will gently but clearly redirect.
  • We cultivate a culture of consent, repair, and accountability. Perfection and cultivating the “perfect” container is unrealistic, but we do expect humility and a willingness to listen, reflect, and adjust.

Allyship here is not passive—it’s relational.

It looks like knowing when to step forward and when to step back. It means checking your impact, staying open to feedback, and rooting yourself in love—not fragility.

We believe true liberation happens in complexity, not outside of it. We are committed to holding that complexity with care, clarity, and integrity.

Here are some important reminders to keep in mind for the event.
